Did Edison use both a black and/or brown painted motor board on the A-250 and if so, any way to know what year or serial number can determine when the change occurred. THANKS

From what I read in Frow, the black bedplates were not introduced until mid-1915 (by which time the A-250 was no longer in production).

Prior to that, bedplates were either brown (for oak cases) or maroon (for mahogany).

Never say never with Edison. They do exist. My mahogany A250, serial #8355, matching numbers, has an original black bedplate.
