Edison "Home" - A "new style" - sorting-out ?

Is there an online resource or tutorial on setting-up the Edison Home model A, with respect to assembling the upper casting to the bed-plate, placement the insulating washers, etc. ? Also setting-up the placement of the upper-works in their slotted mounting holes ?

Just got a pretty nice original example, but the rubber insulators are long-gone...

Machine is H-1021xx, slotted crank, with 2&4 gearing with shift-lever.

Thanks !

I do not know of a resource online; but the upper works should be adjusted so that both pulleys are properly aligned with each other - both laterally, and at the same angle.

The rubber insulators should be placed beneath each corner of the upper casting, and the bolts tightened just enough to hold it securely.

Bill,

Thanks ! So are there supposed to be any rubber washers between the bolts / nuts / washers and the upper works / bedplate ?

Any sources for the corner insulators, or is it D-I-Y ?

Thanks !

I am not completely certain; but there may also be rubber washers between the steel washers on the bolts and the upper casting.

You can use rubber washers from your hardware store, or there may be larger pieces of red rubber in the plumbing section (IIRC), which you can cut into smaller pieces...
