One of the talking machines I like most is this Victor R 1902/1903 in excellent visual status and functioning, it keep in a showcase forever be in evidence.
Here in Brazil there are virtually no previous machines ha in 1904, with support designed horn forward.
Friends forum, you have more admiration for old machines like this or machines with support for back and trumpet flower-shaped?

For me, it depends upon the machine, but I do have a soft spot for most any front-mount machine with a 7-inch turntable. Your Victor Royal is a beauty. :)

I'm not doubting that it's the same machine, but I much prefer the all-black horn in the first picture! :)

The Victor R has always been one of my favorites. I have heard they are sometimes referred to as the poor man's Berliner. Nice machine!!!
