Obviously this is an Edison catalog. Has anybody ever come across the machine in figure 4 at the bottom right corner?

Figure 4 is a Columbia Period model. I owned one once.

Columbia contracted with a number of cabinet jobbers; so did Edison.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was some overlap...

I'm very curious, is this an actual "Edison" catalogue or a dealer's own compilation catalogue?
Best,
Fran

I don't know, but despite what I said in the OP, I am beginning to think the latter.

In 1916 Edison launched a range of "Art Models". The French Gothic model was similar in design, and particularly the carvings to the one in your picture. Similar, however a lot larger. ie double doors compared to the columbia. One Edison French Gothic was sold at Christies in the mid 90's and one perhaps 10 years ago at Skinner.
Here a reference as Columbia

Well then, the question begs to be asked: where did you see/find this document?

I know this (below) is NOT an Edison [either?], but I was struck by how similar they were!
(When I first saw the OP catalog my memory told me there had been one in the basement when I was growing up. But upon investigating, I see Dad's was a Pathé Frères (pictured).
