Can't tell from the pictures, but it looks like it might be early enough to have the brass body reproducer. If so, it could be a real bargain.

What a shock, the record under the right front foot is broken...
Not a bad looking machine.

Agree that it should probably have a brass OSB.
Looks decent.

Ah, but we must look forward, not backward. To do otherwise would be.....wait for it.....
retrograde!
Seriously, though, this does look like a nice machine, even if it is a two-door.

And with that serial number, it almost has to have brass. GoogleMaps tells me it's just 2,970 miles from my house -- 43 hours in "current traffic". If I leave in an hour, will I get there before it's sold?

Last summer, I paid that much for a two-door Credenza that languished in a barn for over 30 years... it donated its serial plate, tapering-arm and reproducer to another machine along the way, and the grille cloth got ripped from top to bottom. And at least one spring in the motor is broken.
But, the original finish still looks surprisingly good, and the cabinet it still pretty tight.
I have been accumulating the missing parts, and expect to have it looking and sounding respectable again, but this will be one of those " $300 = $700 ( or more) machines " when it's all said and done.
Someone please rescue this one before it gets parted-out.

Well folks, I called today and left a message... along with a few other machines I called on. Got a call back about a $200 Victrola. It took a minute to figure out she was calling about this Credenza 2-door machine. Bought it on the spot at asking price. $200! Says it's been in the the family forever and believes it's all original. The wood looks to be of Walnut versus Mahogany too, I think. I can't wait to pick it up to see if brass and walnut is in my Easter egg this year. Thanks to James and Earl for making it known when this item was being listed on Crsigslist. -Wayne

Let us know how it turns out. If it has a good brass reproducer, that alone is worth twice that.
