I have been collecting accessories for my phonographs and have come across a number of different volume controls. If anyone knows of any different styles, please add them to this post.

I just found an H reproducer with the bottom volume control shown. It has a patented on September 30th, 1907 and has a little round disk that turns with the knob to adjust the sound. Anybody know anything more about it? What company made it?

Thanks for the additional posts. I will have to dig and find my DD reproducer with the internal volume control. It is just the body and hopefully someday I can complete it.

Here are two reproducers with very similar, built in, butterfly valve type, volume controls --- both for the Edison Diamond Disc Phonograph. Each has an internal, thick felt pad which can be gradually rotated to mute sound to the desired volume.
The Diamond Disc reproducer came on a B250 I bought years ago, and is marked "PAT. PND'G" on the face of the knob.
The 78 adapter is also marked "PAT. PND'G" on the knob (although faintly), while the barrel of the housing surrounding the felt pad is marked "UNION No.1 PAT'D DEC. 6, 1904 OTHERS PEND'G". The face of the reproducer is mark "The BALANCE", and the back is marked "PAT. APR. 22 - 1913". This one sports a Mobley diaphragm.

Bob,
Thanks for posting these. I can't find my DD with the volume control like your picture. It is here somewhere.
