They don't seem to know how to use the Ultona arm. Seems like a sweet buy at $180
I've corrected their pics.
Not my machine and I have no connection to the seller.

That most definitely looks like a deal, assuming the diamond is in decent shape (the sapphire can be replaced for about $50 if needed).
Are there shippers (reasonably priced) that transport from Canada to the US? I've tried uship.com for an item in Canada that was bound for the southern US and gotten positively no responses.

This looks like a model 117, in Golden Oak. This was a premium-quality machine, with a four-spring motor, and the Ultona 3-way sound-box. Equal in quality to Victrola or Edison Diamond-Disc.
Looks like a decent deal for someone.

I have this same machine and all I can say is that I paid much more than this-It is in nearly mint condition and the motor is soundless. Once I rebuilt the reproducer it has become my daily "go to" machine. I Love the Brunswick quality!

Keep in mind the price of $180 is in Canadian dollars. The conversion would be just under $150 USD.
I'm assuming that Mr. Grumpy isn't already hauling it back home up the 401 as I'm typing. I can't tell you how many times that's happened

LOL! No, I've left this one. For Now.
But I did sell one identical to it late last year for $400CDN, which was a fair price as
the Ultona was rebuilt and played beautifully on all three sides.

Leaving some for the rest of us? Nice restraint, Vince. Good for you. I like this charitable side of you.

Mr. Grumpy, if I may ask: who rebuilt your Ultona for you? Some folks don't want to work on them because of pot metal issues, so if you had a successful experience it would be great to have the rebuilder's name as a resource. I have bought an Ultona soundbox that would likely benefit from a rebuild of at least the DD side.
Thanks!

Good question. Mine buzzes a bit.
