"Reversible" Pathé cylinder machine.

I found this little Pathé cylinder machine at the mart at a recent MBSI meeting in New Orleans. When I got it, the case had been very badly refinished at some time in the past--uneven, drips, decal completely gone, etc. That necessitated a complete refinish. I am fairly happy with the way it turned out. Got the correct decal from Eduardo in Peru. His work is always first class. The mechanism survived well and only needed a little bit of clean up and some oil on the bearings.

I am not certain whether this particular model had the slip on mandrel adapter to play larger diameter cylinders or not. If so it is long gone.

I have this same machine. It never had the slip-on Salon mandrel. This machine was based on the Columbia Model B eagle.

Thanks for the info Harvey. The mechanism does indeed look like a Columbia Eagle clone.

That came out beautiful. Nice job.

I have a real soft spot for French machines.

as far as i know it wasn't used on any cylinder machine other than the model O

im sorry for the bad news but this is a bit like putting a edison home phonograph banner decal on a 2 clip squaretop standard
(what to do now?...i feel for you.. all that work!)

I've seen them with both types (well, more accurately, have seen pictures of them with both types). For example, I found a photo of one on the web with the decal that I used as a guide on how far up from the base to place the decal.

I like both. When trying to decide which to use, I ordered one of the other type from Gregg Cline, but it was too large to fit.
