Rare Pathé Actuelle model W

Here is a rare Pathé Actuelle model W which Pathé describes as "Early English Period". Some of its coloring and design motifs remind me of my Pathé Actuelle English Gothic model T, which some call the Tudor model. I think the seller's asking price is wishful thinking. But it's difficult to know what things as rare as this are really worth.

I agree. I've had a few different actuelles over time and have kept an eye on them in general. the few "art" models I've seen have been priced, at most, at half or less than half of this 3500 asking price.

Currently on the return leg of Victrola Trip #32 in which I picked up this Sheridan Art Model Actuelle for a tenth of the price but surly worth at least a third, once refinished. It appears to be Walnut.

That's a nice find. But Id think refinishing it would just detract from its value rather than the opposite.

I'm pretty sure I owned that very machine now on eBAY several years ago.

Correction, I meant restore it, as oppose to refinish. Currently it has serious aligatoring and is hiding the wood's beauty. With basically a plain cabinet, I want the wood to pop.

I bought it off eBay in Wisconsin from someone who owned it for about 10 years.
