This is one of their BIG consoles - a horn at each end and an electric motor. If you want a statement piece this is a good candidate

OMG it's a stereo! Too bad the tv is missing.

Seriously, that is an impressive machine that escaped being gutted and turned into a fancy liquor cabinet as a lot of them did.

With those twin horns a good three feet apart, it would be interesting to hear what it sounds like. Probably less directional than a conventional upright floor model.

Our hobby would be the poorer without machines such as this. To class it as an "off brand" would be to do it less than justice. It deserves a place in any collection, but it won't be joining mine as it is over 3,000 miles away.

From the web, here is a similar case in a deluxe finish with beautiful veneers and hand painted panels. http://tinyoldhouse.blogspot.com/2009/0 ... chine.html

Holy wow, the eBay specimen appears to have sold for $20.00, with only one bid. What a beautiful machine -- what an amazing price! The painted one Eric posted is gorgeous too. I'd have a hard time choosing between them, but I'd be more than happy to have either. Or both. I'd love to hear the sound the dual-horn arrangement produces. Congratulations to whoever scored this!

Oops...I somehow missed the fateful fine print: "Reserve not met."
