Here is an interesting use for a phonograph.

This former phonograph was converted to a photograph light table and now is going as an antique

Not trying to be a smart a** here but this should be in the eBay and Craigslist alert section on this forum. ;)
And yes, it is sad how some people feel the need to molest phonographs and convert them to lamps, wine cabinets, etc.

This "machine" for lack of a better word was found by a local picker last year. It came out of an old photo studio in Chinatown. They were using it to look at negatives. The picker offered it to me at that time for $50....I declined. It was sold to a local dealer and has now made it's way onto CL.

Might have been done 50-60 years ago when the machine was worthless & possibly busted

Going by the porcelain cleat light sockets, and the surface-mount switch on the side of the cabinet, I think this adaptation was made many, many years ago.

The grille and corner pilasters look vaguely familiar... does anyone recognize what machine this once was ?
