My Edison Opera

I just acquired an Edison Opera in oak. It doesn't play well right now because it is lacking the wire that goes through the mechanism and puts a little spring back motion into the mandrel. Without this wire, the cylinders will warble. Does anyone know where I can go to get this part?

Thanks, Marc.

Look in your local hobby/model shop. They usually have an assortment of spring wire in various gauges.

Check at your local music store for an Ernie Ball 18p electric or acoustic guitar string (or equivalent). That's the best I've used, and I've tried other thicknesses. MicaMonster also has spring steel available. His is the thickest I've tried.
