Just tried an inexpensive, non-damaging method for touching up paint loss on horns: get a set of children's washable markers, pick the colors nearest to the paint color, and carefully apply them over the scratches.
When dry, rub very gently with a soft cloth to remove the excess and even out the tone. This tones down the damage without damaging the existing paint; it is also reversible.
