“Minty” 1901 Columbia AB “Macdonald” Graphophone.

In all my years of collecting this is the Finest AB, I have ever come across.
Finish is 100% original and exceptionally nice, the Decal is Pristine.
Exterior hardware shows some light oxidation commensurate with its age.
Open the lid, and what you see is a sight to behold! Nickel is darn near 100% perfect! Correct original aluminum Grand reproducer, 14” aluminum Horn, Grand mandrel and locking nut.
I purchased the machine only in 2010, and have since re-greased the springs, replaced the broken leather belt, replaced the rubber isolators, and rebuilt the reproducer. I also purchased an excellent recorder to display with it and a group of Columbia Concert cylinders, (four of which are playable).
The best part about this machine is that it plays as good as it looks!

SOLD $3000, plus shipping

Please PM or Email me with any questions.
Thanks, Bob S.

PS: The outdoor pictures make the machine look kind of orange. The color in the video is closer to the actual color.

That's the nicest one I've seen since I bought my own in 1962. Someone should jump on that beauty!

The sound quality is excellent, and proof that a properly working cylinder machine doesn't need flywheels or fancy transmission springs to avoid "warble".

The mass of the 5" mandrel and record may be flywheel enough.
