Gold Plating or Replating an Edison Diamond Disc Reproducer

Is this possible? Would it have to taken apart first? Thanks for any advice.

Yes, I think it is possible. And yes, the reproducer would have to be completely disassembled. Unless the plating company specifically offers surface preparation, such as buffing to remove scratches and nicks, the prep is up to you. Plating is so thin that it will not cover up any imperfections.

Some plating companies may not be able to duplicate the gold matte finish like an original. Nickel plating should be bright.
