I recently was able to purchase another extended arm Victor for the collection. It is a Victor E. The horn is a bit banged up and might have to be sent to John Duffy for him to work his magic. Surprisingly, it isn't too front heavy and quite stable. I already have the extended arm M and MS. Does anyone know if the extended arm bracket was available for the Victor R? I have seen larger horn set ups on the Victor R but not with the extension bracket.

Very interesting. An extended arm Victor has never come my way in 40+ years of collecting. Jerry Blais

Hi-- I got my first and only extended arm machine a couple years ago-- A nice "M". (picture attached) Does the "E" use the same tone arm (20 ½")and support arm extension(9 inch)?? Is the support arm that attaches to the case a bit longer than a standard support arm??? Finally-- Would the "E" have the same horn as the "M"?
Thanks-

Nice machines! Thanks for sharing. I've only seen one extended arm machine for sale but was unable to get it. That's quite something to have three of them.

Brad,
To answer your questions, the regular E(both pre-dog and dog label) have support arms around 8". I do have extended horn E's(pre-dog and dog label) that have support arms around 10 ¾". The extended arm/horn E has a 20 ½" tone arm, 9" support arm extension, and a 10 ¾" support arm. I do have one more support arm extension so I guess I will have to look for another extended horn and tone arm. I just have never heard or seen a support arm extension for an R. Maybe I could use it on my Victor Z or C.

How long is the horn on the MS? I have black & brass Victor horn with decal that is 43" from the bell to the Victor front mount elbow. It also has a hanger for a floor crane. Does anyone have a catalog or photo showing how this horn was used? I'm guessing it was an auditorium horn. Thanks, Jerry Blais

Jerry,
The horns are 26" long on the extended arm set ups. I do have one of the larger 43" horns like you have also. I got it from the Smiths a few years ago when they were selling out. They said it must have been on a machine with a floor crane as it also has the hanger loop.

These pictures were posted before awhile back. I've never seen a 3" extended arm before. At the time when I got this Victor E it looked all original and unmolested, very dirty and grimy. Something interesting to add to the extended arm thread.

Larry,
Thanks for re-posting pictures of your extended arm E. I remember seeing that awhile back. That is definitely a unique option. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the Union show. Like I've said before, it is a king of family re-Union.
