Ceremony at Dead Mans Island.

Hello,
I live in Nova Scotia Canada. During the war of 1812 American prisoners of war were interned on Melville island located on the outer edge of the harbour of the capital city of Halifax. During that time some 200 American prisoners died and were buried in unmarked graves on near by Dead Mans island. Yesterday military personal from the United States and Canada marked Memorial Day with a ceremony commemorating the war of 1812 and the Treaty of Ghent signed 1814 that ended it.
Besides collecting Phonographs I also do some re-enacting. I am a member of the Kings Orange Rangers. a British Military unit raised in Orange county New York in 1776. The unit saw action in that area before being transferred to Nova Scotia to protect the coastal towns from the marauding American privateers. In the picture I am the second Redcoat from the right.
Pete
