Someone is offering an Edison Diamond Disc ID plate for a model 1-C, #2280 on eBay. Don't think I've seen this one before. Gotta check my Frow.

The 1-C was the least expensive of the 4 Long Play console machines. Though not at all common, there's relatively little interest in them these days.

As stated above the 1C was the smallest of the Long Play Diamond Disc machines. The 1C had the smallest DD Edison horn, the 100. The 2C had the medium 150 horn, and the 3C and 4C had the Edison 250 Lab model horns. The 1C, 2C, and 4C should not be confused with the Edison C1, C2 and C4 which are radio/phonograph models from 1928-1929. On the Long Play DD models the 'C' stands for "console". On the radio/phono models the 'C' stands for "combination" radio/phonograph.
