The Talking Machine Forum — For All Antique Phonographs & Recordings

While I am not a collector of phonographs, I am a major fan of their windup motors and over the past 30 months have used them to power 17 mechanical sculptures. The motors are the real stars of my show, absolutely works of art in their own right. I have especially liked working with the Saal "DD" motors, and have recently acquired a couple of elegant Garrards.

I would like to thank Cliff Bowling for introducing me to the Forum. It is a wonderful resource.

I am hoping that you will be able to identify this motor for me. Framed in enameled cast iron, the spring barrels are nickel plated.
