I got this 40" horn and got a tall horn crane but they do not work. The horn crane is so weak it bends and falls, and the horn is too big for a normal crane. I was so much looking forward to putting these together but what a goof. What am I missing?

The horn crane really looks like a horn crane but is too weak, what's up with that? Too weak even for a normal MG horn. Its legs spread so wide it will not fit on any but a huge table, must be intended for floor. But is is not tall enough. And how does one support a 40" horn? Tie a string to the ceiling?

I hope someone with more cylinder record player experience can tell me what to do.

I had the same problem. The top piece loosen it up so it is the other way in the picture. Instead of the top part pointing to one on a clock it should point to the eleven. Then when you put the horn on the weight doesn't pull the crane over. It just straightens the crane up. Not the best explanation but think about it for minute and maybe it will come to you.
