FOR SALE: VICTOR R FRONT MOUNT PHONOGRAPH $975.00
Posted: Fri Jul 10, 2015 3:20 pm
I am selling the pictured Victor model R front mount outside horn phonograph. I.D. Plate No. 37029. This phonograph plays 7” disc records using a normal center hole. The phonograph has been fully restored. Everything is original except the oak cross-arm and crank which are accurate reproductions. The phonograph has been refinished like original and the copper plated bed plate has been preserved. The Victor Exhibition reproducer has been rebuilt and adapted for use with the front mount horn and plays loud and clear. Please note the reproducer can easily be re-converted for use with other Victor phonographs if desired. The oak case measures 10” x 10” x 6” and has its original anodized bronze corners. The horn measures 15” long x 10” wide (Please note it will take a 16” square box to ship the horn). The horn is solid and the body has been repainted and has the very early zinc bell which is in good condition for its age (no cracks). I have provided large close-up photos which show the beautiful oak wood graining and sharp details in the case. Remember, flash photography generally makes things appear a bit nicer than natural light. The single-spring motor has been rebuilt, tested and plays beautifully.
Buyer pays insured shipping, which will require two boxes, to their destination. Respond by email “SOLD” and the phonograph is yours (after you pay for it of course). I will send payment instructions. Thanks for looking.
