I remember reading that during the wax Amberol period (1908-12)that Edison's sales dropped due to complaints from dealers and customers that the new records didn't hold up very well.And,Edison considered Indestructible to be a threat,especially after Columbia bought out the company and were selling the cylinders under their name.And,of course US Everlasting was.Edison was frustrated that at the time he couldn't use celluloid.Eventually,he bought the rights to it for the Blue Amberol.edisonplayer
