My good friend Roger acquired a Victor M with two horns. The horns are both after market (1902) and they are both black. The machine has an 8000 series number and the sticker is from the bottom of the machine. The horns are interesting because one of the horns shown below has an adapter to fit different machines. The other horn is interesting for the Victor label which has a green background. Question: What year did Victor change the background (green) color of their labels? Also, the horn with the adapter was made for the M and what other phonograph?

You can't really say the horn with the Victor decal is an after market horn, since it is a Victor horn.

The other horn is made to fit a variety of Victor mounts. Both the screw-in mount that the M takes, and the later style Victor tapered horn elbow with the locking groove in it.
