This machine is right down the road. Sent an email week or two asking if the thing winds up. Received answer the owner never tried to wind it up - notice the arm is just sitting there and clearly broke. Received another response from this party that the machine does not work. Tempted to take a look at it.

I second Estott's suggestion for a visit.... that looks like a "Leader" / "Mignonette" / "75"... a pretty machine, especially in oak. Usually found in alligatored red mahogany.
Decent arms are out there.
See if there's wiggle-room on the price, given that it's not in working order, but if the cabinet is really as nice as it looks, it'd be hard to go wrong with this example.

After repeated requests to see this machine, broken promises to schedule a time, and finally a promise to see it today at noon (nothing heard) I give up something is amiss with this whole shebang. Party would never give me their address even after agreeing to a time to meet. Shame, I have the broken arm and base for this thing. Oh well thats life on C list.
