I'm in search of a Victrola Credenza model, made in 1926. I am looking to acquire one that was once owned by a family in Nashville, TN, and all the information that is known was found in an household inventory from 1932: "1 Victrola, Credenza model, #19966, walnut cabinet, $250.00." I have been told the serial number would mean it likely was produced in 1926.
It does not have to be in perfect working condition, but it is preferable that it be in good and stable condition, with as many original parts as possible.

Sounds like a (phonograph) needle in a haystack to me: since the inventory is over 80 years old, anything could have happened to that particular machine since then.
Still, I wish you every strangest kind of luck.

Chkwd,
I don't have that particular serial number Credenza but here is what I have that is close. These are for sale and I may possibly be able to deliver. Message me if you have interest.
1. All original and nicely working/looking Walnut 1926 Credenza serial# 20,123 that I bought in Oreville CA.
2. All original and nicely working (has light scratches) Mahogany 1926 Credenza serial# 19,252 that I bought in Albany NY.
3. Cabinet only, no guts, nice original finish Walnut 1927 Credenza X serial# 22,952 that I bought in Nashville TN.
Good luck otherwise,
-Wayne

He can't be looking for that exact machine, just one of that model. He includes the serial number as a reference only. Looks like an 8-30 Orthophinc in walnut.

I am not expecting to find the exact model, per se, but one very much like it. I am leading an historic restoration project and attempting to outfit several rooms with historically appropriate elements, furnishings, and fine art where the originals are no longer available. By the way, I'm a "she!"
