I recently picked up a batch of 60 and an working my way through playing them. There is a lot of good 40s swing which you can see evolving into pop music with more of a jazz influence later in the 40s, as well as a little bit of classical stuff. And the sonic quality is really quite good. I am enjoying them and may get more in time.

As my V-Disc collection grows I learn.
The program was begun by the Army and that branch, as far as I can tell, issued the most titles. A little latter, the Navy begun issuing its own V-Discs and for a short time the Marine Corps did as well, although I have yet to see one of the latter personally.
I have picked up 88 Army discs and 9 Navy discs. Before long, things began to look familiar with the Navy discs. After a little research, I found out that all 9 of my Navy discs had been issued by the Army under different disc numbers. I am not sure whether that was always the case or whether the Marine issues were also duplicates of Army issues, just with different disc numbers and different label colors. But until I find out different, I am going to stick to Army issues for now.

No, on-line sources. I do watch Craig's List locally, but have not found any there yet.
