Here is my Columbia Type Q Graphophone. That I just got back today, from George Vollema Who did an amazing job rebuilding it.


The horn and winding key are reproductions, as well as the brass governor.

That's the earlier style Q, and when sold with a cabinet like yours, was called the "QC" (Think "C" as in "Cabinet"). The QC originally sold for $7.50 with a 10" conical horn like yours.

Very nice machine! Good example of an early Q. I also like the early style reproducer on there.

Just wondering, some of us collectors have experienced skipping of the record of the Columbia Q. Does your machine skip?

Very nice little machine. It's no wonder the Q and Eagles sold in large numbers. They gave such great pleasure in a very small package. Jerry Blais
