You think they'd pick a new name rather than a misspelled one?

Is the word Gramophone still copyrighted?
Brings to mind the old joke:
"This is my Grammaphone- I got it from my Gramma"

There's the Omaha-based label called American gramophone that has released albums by Mannheim Steamroller (and a few others) since the mid-1970s.

I’d have assumed so, but at least they were consistent. After browsing the site a bit I wondered if perhaps they did it as a mistake and not intentionally, but I’ve no idea if that is the reality or not.
Personally, I think it’d be a bad idea to intentionally misspell the name of your business, particularly for a website where there’s another site not affiliated with yours that has the correct spelling. Want to bet on how much traffic of theirs goes to the one that’s spelled properly?
