Is this a good deal??

Post by cweastlick »

I finally found an 8" turntable for my Victor I. What I don't know is if this is a good deal or not. Before I spend $100 on this I need some feedback. I'm still relatively new to outside horn Victors.
Thanks!!
p.s. please don't buy it out from under me. :?

A "good deal" is anything that makes you happier with the object than with the money. The money can always be replaced; these objects often cannot. :)

There is no "market" in 8 inch turntables, meaning they come up for sale pretty infrequently. There's a limited supply, but also a limited market.

If I needed an 8 inch turntable, I'd be all over this like ugly on Alec Baldwin. Be aware, however, that if you have the brake that presses UPWARD against the underside of the turntable, this isn't the turntable for you.

Good luck!

Thanks, George. No it has the "bullet" brake that pushes against the outside rim. Thanks for the feedback!!

These small 7-8" turntables are very tough to find. I think it is an excellent deal. I learned a long time ago, that the best bargains is what is available, this very moment.
