Is there a section to list the featured phonographs? I see them in the Machines section but how do you know what number was the last one. I might be adding one and want to know what number to give it.

I regularly create links to the Featured Phonographs in the Archives section. There are posts for the big three (Edison, Victor/HMV, Columbia) and for Miscellaneous. You would have to look into all four posts to figure out the last number. I did not have time yet to create links for the two most recent Featured Phonographs, so you best way to determine the previous highest number posted is to do a search across the whole Forum for Featured Phonograph. You can also find instructions how to post a Featured Phonograph in the Archives section. Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.
