"Nobody plays the records anyway." I guess not, since the innards are gone!

Looks like a later model XI. Grab it now, they aren't making 'em anymore. :P

By my math, assuming there are roughly 30,000 antique phonograph collectors in the U.S., and 320,000,000 people (both are estimates), a ratio of less than one person in a thousand, the seller is actually guilty of a lot less hyperbole than most politicians emit with every breath.

The entire description, for posterity: "We have for sale a vintage Victrola Record Player Cabinet in very good condition. Not sure of it's age, but it's been in my Grandmothers estate for quite some time. Solid wood and nothing cracked or loose. Nothing has been glued or repaired. I believe that the entire unit is original. $85. This is the cabinet only, no record player is inside. Nobody plays the records anyway. Displays very well. Could be used for storage of other items. I have many other vintage items currently listed on craigslist. I will deliver to Decatur."
