WANTED: Key for Kimball phonograph

Thanks for the reply , yes it does help to finally see some kind of key! My rubber connector did go soft about 29 years ago and i made a replacement with a piece of hard plastic. It's such a small space you can hardly see it .Pathé wrote:Hello sorry for the delay in responding to this post.
this may or may not be an actual Kimball key as the faint markings say ROCK****
poss. rockford prob. for a lock box /bank box etc.
however this key fits the lock perfectly and turns smoothly like it was custom fit to the lock with no slop or play.
(it was found in a box of loose keys in an antique mall. many trips of trial and error)

Kimball always used the best materials and wood veneers,
a key like this surprises me that its so cheap looking
i have 3 similar to yours and think that is one of my favorite designs
in your picture the reproducer is in the vertical/ Path'e position and should
be turned to play lateral records.
how is the condition of the rubber flange between the tone arm and the reproducer, most are dried out and distorted making needle alignment off.
