Fred Gaisberg was quite fond of Weber. Gaisberg's book Music on Record has a lot of anecdotes about the Weber band and the recording sessions, which apparently often descended into heated arguments. In the early electrical days Gaisberg recorded one of these donneybrooks and had the record processed and pressed so that he could have it on hand in order to play it back into the studio when the boys spun out of control, It had the effect of making them laugh and then shaming everyone into behaving.
Clever puppy, that Gaisberg!

Now that "argument" disk would sure make interesting listening today! If only it still existed.....

That's a wonderful reminiscence and I'm sure that he had to keep at least a few records in stock. They certainly wore out soon by extensive use! ;)

I do find the title of the song curious...."Dance the slip with me". Is this something that is lost in treanslation? Still, a great song nevetheless.

I am not sure but I might be a reference to a certain slide dance style.
