FYI..... you can buy the (almost) entire run avialable of the TMW on two disc's for $9.25 USD with free shipping. They are great and also searchable. A couple sellers on EBay have them. One in the US and another in the UK.
Well worth the price in my opinion.

Thanks for the link. That definitely looks like a great value for the price.

The complete run of the TMW is also avaiable via archive.org: https://archive.org/search.php?query=ta ... hine+world - contributed by the Library of Congress.

Thank you for mentioning this. The LOC contributed (almost) every issue on Archive.org.

I just like to own a hard copy for myself as well.... ;)

Yes. The volumes on CD are worth it. I purchased them and even transferred them to my computer which makes it easy to search. In my humble opinion, The Talking Machine World is the bees knees in independent brands information.

I do wish that more Edison and Victor catalogs and publications were available in scanned form.

Thank you for mentioning this. The LOC provides free access to every issue.

I downloaded the complete volumes that were available on the LOC website a couple of years ago, but only recently I realized that there are two sets of files missing from both the Archive site AND from my downloaded files:

January - June, 1924
January - June, 1926

Before I consider buying the DVDs, can you tell me for certain that these issues I've listed above are present on the DVD set?

Best,
Fran

If you look at the list provided on the EBay listing....you can see those are missing.
I'm not sure if anyone has them..??. I have edited my posts for accuracy.. ;).
