Diamond Disc Reproducer Modified for Use On An Opera

Here's the beast I mentioned in another post. A heavily modified DD reproducer made to fit an Opera. It sounds pretty darn good too.... but looks hideous. The diaphragm is some sort of foam material. I don't know if it has an Amberola stylus or a DD stylus, or if they're even different to begin with. It has very nice bass response but a tad less volume.

Is there any way you could post a video or audio recording so we could here it? I am very curious.

Wow. Someone went to a lot of effort to adapt that! It looks to be pretty well done.
The late Bob Waltrip used to rebuild DD reproducers, using foam for the diaphragm. They worked surprisingly well. I would guess that he rebuilt that one.
