Looking for a link to a complete diamond disc index.
I also have an unusual disc i'm looking for info about. I has sound grooves cut on both sides but the center is stamped only one one side. The edge is stamped in 4 places with # 82119.

Here is a thread that has what you are looking for. Your disc is Pagliacci, with Harry E. Humphrey giving an explanatory talk on the other side. Many of the early discs were done in this vein. Be careful, you may end up like me
http://www.goldminemag.com/article/coll ... ictive-hob Home on a saturday night listening to your vast collection.

with an article I recently found in my hours of endless searching.

Enjoyed the article, and it is addictive. I didn't realize there were 26,000 of them!
At one point I got the notion for trying to collect all the electrically recorded DDs, but even that was too much for my limited storage space and my wallet. (Albeit I do still pick one up now and then.)

Limited space, yes, that's why I purchase then sell, keeping a handful of my favorites such as Ellen Coleman "Back Bitin' Blues", Han's Emperor "My Lord's Gonna Move this Wicked Race" ,and the 1st song to hook me, Vernon Dalhart singin "Big Rock Candy Mountain. Oh, there are others, and given enough time, I WILL find them.

Well here's to having a fun addiction with no downside except enough space.

There aren't. The largest series is the popular series that goes from 50001-52651, which is just under 2650 discs (some numbers were not issued). The other series combined don't even add another thousand.

I had never thought about how many there were till I read the article. 26000 didn't seem out of the range of possibility until you mentioned the 5200 series. Hmmm. So there probably just under 4000 titles then? Very interesting and thanks for the input 52089!
