It seems some do not like the feet on the tabletop Victrola's...What are your thoughts?

A rather curious question. Which table top Victrolas and what specifically is the cause of concern?

Personally I would not want to have something like a VV-IX that did not have its original feet.

The early IX was flat on the bottom while the later one had little curved feet. The early table model XI and XII had feet that raised them up a bit. I suspect the question has to do with the early or late IX. I prefer the late IX with curved feet. It adds a bit of style to the machine. Jerry Blais

We have a VV-IX which has a narrow molding around the base with no decorative feet, and a VV-IXA which has a wider molding with curved cutouts which form decorative feet. I like them both. The VV-IX looks better on the matching record cabinet and the VV-IXA looks better not on a cabinet. Russie

I agree with you assessment about the later style VV-IX Jerry. That's what I have.

I grew-up with a "footed" VV-IX, so I'm accustomed to that version.

I think the flat-bottoms look better on top of a cabinet though.
