No phonographs were harmed....

I have been meaning to mention this here on the board, just don't get to post often while at work. There is a BBQ resturant in Williamsburg Brooklyn with bar lights made from cylinder machine horns. I looked closely and they didn't damage the horns at all, just passed the fixture through the narrow end. I assume over time the heat and grime of the restaurant wont be so good for them. I know some will think its blasphemous, but I have to admit, they do look cool.

Pretty neat, I guess... Is that cost effective?

How's the food? ;)

I've been to a couple nite clubs that have horns over the dance floor used the same way.
One club actually had a complete Zonophone machine hanging from the ceiling.
