Great idea!! What did you use for the speaker in place of the reproducer?

I see, so the younger people at your office thought the iPod was vintage because it is one of the earlier models (looks like a 2001-2004). Did your co-workers comment on the phonograph though? By the way, I've even heard some of my friends at school talking about vintage Apple computers from the 1980s. Yes, vintage is indeed in the eye of the beholder!

I have an old iPod of that era hooked up to a low-power AM transmitter box I use to play period music on some of my antique radios.

That is quite a neat setup for the large carriage eye. The first version I had was also with external input only, while I then moved onward to a unit that can also play on its own. Over the last few years I used mine most times on my Edison B-19, where I can close the lid and just let it go.

I believe that Norman Bruderhofer designed those and had a small run produced. He showed one at a Wayne show last year. Neat device, works as speaker and mp3 player with usb and sd card connectors. Can attach to most phonographs. Not sure if he still has any left?
