Hello,
My friend ( not a Phonograph collector) is thinking of buying this machine. He sent me the pictures and to me something doesn't look right. The decal inside the lid says Phonola but half the tone arm and bracket look to be from a Victrola?? Any thoughts?
thanks
Pete

If I had to guess, I would say that the original tonearm was made from pot metal and disintegrated.

That is not a Victor tone arm, at least not the part with the universal joint

Looks legit to me.

From the CAPS link to Keith Wrights website.

A few other images seem to suggest this was the shape of their tone arm at some point.
