SOLD: Orthophonic Victrola 10-50 - $395
Posted: Sun Dec 20, 2015 12:27 pm
I have decided to sell my 10-50 to make room for another acquisition.
The machine has a very nice original finish, except for the top, which is solid, but needs refinishing (see photos).
Grill cloth is original and very clean.
Mechanically the record changer needs to be rebuilt (Rebuild parts available from Carsten Fischer), but the machine functions perfectly as a victrola, by playing one record at a time.
Reproducer sounds very good.
The 10-50 has the largest horn of any Victor product and sounds wonderful.
You will need at least one other helper (preferably two) plus myself to load into your pick-up or large cargo van.
I will move the machine to my attached two car garage just prior to pick up, so that no steps are required.
Pick up in Newton, NJ (Sussex County). I am about 40 minutes northwest of the Wayne, NJ Show. I can hold the machine until then if paid for at the time of purchase.
Here's a short video of the machine playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58hw501L-i8
Thank you for looking and Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year to all!
