WANTED: Edison H-19 Grill

A friend of mine is restoring an Edison H-19 for a relative. He is looking for a grill but doesn't have too much money for it. The phonograph has more sentimental value and is in rough shape. If anyone has a spare grill, please contact me with a picture and price.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!

FYI, the H-19 came with 2 different grills and came in at least 2 different woods. Are you looking for the fleurs-de-Lys grill or the shield grill? Mahogany or oak?
When in doubt, try Gramps treasures as he makes reproduction grills at reasonable cost.

Thanks for the reply. I will have to check with my friend about whether or not it is mahogany or oak. I would prefer to find and original one as the rest of the cabinet, I was told, is a bit rough. This won't be a very high end restoration. He want to just clean it up and get it to play. The grill can be of either design. He said the opening is 15" X 11 ¾"

The fleur-de-lis or fleur-de-lys grill is made of pressed sawdust and is not very durable... I restored a broken one once by gluing all of the pieces to a file folder, then cutting it out with an X-acto knife then filling in the missing parts with epoxy putty. Too much work for a machine that is not really desirable... I completely restored mine then had an extremely difficult time getting rid of it, since it is probably the homeliest Edison machine ever produced... Moral: don't put too much money (or time) into the restoration.

I have a mahogany stained Fleur de Lys grille in decent shape, the wood frame surrounding it is a bit beat though. I'll get a picture of it tonight. Won't be expensive.

Here is my grille. The upper tongue is partially broken off and might show a small gap when installed. The grill is all there but does have some issues- it is slightly warped and has two breaks- one is right in the middle and the other is at the lower left. If you used the grille As Is it should be safe, but I can't guarantee that it won't break if you try to refinish it. Price $6.00 and I'm not sure how much postage would be - it is quite heavy and I'd need to put it in some rigid packing.
