Just finished putting this motor back together and it works fine. I cleaned and greased everything, still has the original springs, they seem to be in pretty good condition.

It takes a bit of effort to crank it.
According to Baumbach (not Frow

), this direct winding motor was used until mid 1914, then the winding was changed to indirect, requiring less effort to crank. It came off a VV-VI.

This was also used in the early Victrola VIII. They were made from 1911-1913 or 14.
