Need the needle bar with thumbscrew for a Victor Exhibition reproducer. Was rebuilding mine, sent the needle bar to one of the vendors on the forum because of damaged thumbscrew threads in the needle bar. That was last February. I have not heard anything about it since.

Was that Wyatts or Apsco..if so, I'm really surprised you have not heard from them. I have 2 needle bars with broken off screws...in my opinion, its not cost effective to send out, for me anyway. Sometimes its more feasible to buy a junker with an exhibition.

John Nagy at phonographs.org drilled out my HMV 5b that had a broken off thumb screw. I think it cost about $10-$15 a couple of years ago (shipping included). He did a great job and I had it back in about a week. YMMV.

Thanks for the replies. I sent it to APSCO who advised they received it but they were busy and that was the last time I heard from them. I used APSCO often when I first got in the hobby. At any rate maybe a junker reproducer will show up but the enlarged thumbscrew hole is usually why they are junkers.

I would just call sitko... I've used a couple of his reproduction needle bar assemblies in the past and they were reasonably priced and turned out perfect. based on past experience and all I've read and heard of late, apsco has just become a place to avoid.

Thanks. Guess I'll try Sitko today. Used him before and always satisfied. Had a Columbia motor spring replaced and bought a repro back bracket for my 4-3. Cheers

APSCO was great, one if not the best when I first started back in the late 1980's. But as with many business, times change. I think phonographs are not their priority anymore. Last I spoke with Patti several years ago, they were into greenhouses and phonographs were the secondary business. It took me several months to get diaphragms that I needed, she said Dennis had to cut them, so I ordered about 10 of them in quantity, I was glad I did.

I also used to go through Wyatts in California, but shipping is so expensive from the west coast.

As with APSCO and Wyatt's they are the older suppliers, I believe Wyatt's originally had acquired it from a original supplier with alot of old N.O.S. parts. Last I spoke to Dwayne, he did not have the parts that I needed. I will say that Dwayne does great work machining parts, he did a great job making a spindle shaft for a Talk-O-Phone that I used to have.

In recent years, I have used George Vollema, Mark Gaiser and Ron Sitko for parts and have great experiences. John Nagy is also good.

Hi, My first post and already trying to sell something. I have a few needle bars for the Exhibition. I think there're NOS and maybe used for replaceing
old round hole style. So you can use fibre needles. One of the bars has a round hole and the others have triangle needle hole. If still interested in one let me know.
