78 RPM by Sam Lanin's Orchestra with Irving Kaufman's vocals, Earl Oliver's growling trumpet, Red Nichols's bouncy cornet, Miff Mole's trombone, Andy Sannella & Alfie Evans's alto saxes & clarinets, Lucien Smith/Schmidt's tenor sax & clarinet, Frank Black's piano, Tony "Toots" Colucci's banjo, Joe Tarto's tuba & Vic Berton's drums.
This side was recorded on April 27 from 1926 in New York & it went issued on Banner 1762, Broadway 1021, Domino 3736, Paramount 20463, canadian Starr 10162 & australian Leonora 10162 a s Imperial Dance Orchestra, NML 1155 as Manhattan Musicians, Oriole 637 as the Yankee 10 Orchestra with Kaufman renamed as Charles Dickson, Regal 8076 & australian Bon Marche as the Missouri Jazz Band, Silvertone 2763 as the Georgia Jazz Band, canadians Apex 8510 & Domino 21173 as Lanin and his Orchestra, canadian Microphone 22121 as Erdman and his Orchestra, british Edison Bell Winner 4485 as the Diplomat Novelty Orchestra, british Imperial 1651 as Sam Lanin and his Orchestra & australian Bon Marche 115.
Please PM me if you have a redundant nice copy of this that you would sell on any of those labels. Apparently each record, soundwise, is identical.

Great song. In the early 60's a late collector up here was a close friend of Harry Woods. I have the sheet music for this song signed by Harry Woods. He wrote
"May the "Robin" always keep "Bobbin" for you".

Not to highjack your thread. I thought you may like to see a side of Harry that most would never see. While he was co-writing
"When The Moon Comes Over The Mountain", he shares with his good friend how the title was supposed to be....
"When The Moon Comes Over The Mountain, I'll Be Mountin' Somebody's Moon" .
He then writes...
" later, when under construction, we chopped the hind end off and made it decent".
He clearly had quite a sense of humor.
Harry M Woods was killed on January 14 1970 after being hit by a car right outside his home.

I've got a copy by the Ipana Troubadours on Columbia 662-D, under the direction of Sam Lanin, recorded May 25, 1926. Now if I could just find it. Here is the record on YouTube:

Finally found one on Edison Bell from a guy in Australia. I love it. Nice clean copy!!
