One of the first models made by Klingsor (Krebs & Klenk, Hanau, Germany) and sold in Austria as "Resonata". Although every serious gramophone collector may seen or heard about this German company before, it´s still a unique and fantastic machine in European Art Nouveau!

I have on of these in a little different set up. I got it years ago at Tims auction in Maryland. I think it may be in one of his books. They are pretty machines that grab a lot of attention to non collectors.

Klingsor built their gramophones right up into the early 1920s. Also some smaller and lesser expensive models. Altghough the "gimmick" with the strings in front of the horn to improve the sound doesn´t really work, they are simply a "eye-catcher" till today.
