The starting price is listed at $125, the oak cabinet is dirty and a little banged-up looking, but eminently saveable! The seller claims it works (of course, with a non-Edison Diamond Disc record on the turntable).

Local pickup only.

The cabinet is the type with the lip at the top edge of the turntable compartment. No grille present.

The "lever-type" mute ball actuator is present.

The motor-plate has no "fancy" corner pinstriping present, and the start/stop lever configuration appears to be the 2nd type used on the mechanism.

All of this suggests (to me) that it may have been produced somewhere in the middle of the run. I've messaged the seller for the serial number, if he responds, I'll update this post.

If I were close enough, I would buy it without hesitation.

As a retired English teacher, I can't let this go unnoticed. Too many Americans never learned how to spell in school, I guess. There is a difference between "wood", which grows on trees, and "would", which is the past tense of the verb "will". I've also noticed that too many online writers do not know the difference between "there" and "their", "to" and "too", and "your" and "you're".

Aside from the bad spelling, this appears to be a very nice A-250. I have always been a fan of Oak A-250s and this appears to be a nice example aside from the missing grille.

Every time someone types "To Funny" I immediately picture them, fist in the air, going on a quest to find funny. oh and how about the irony when someone writes "Your an idiot"

Dumb and Dumber, Too! Yes, I agree, I like all of the A DD machines. I own an A150 and a B150. I have always wondered why there is the A100, when it was a machine that was not offered for sale until late 1915. After looking it up in Frow, I saw that the A100 was designed and approved way back in 1912 to be a low cost $100 machine, but due to delays, it was not actually produced until 1915 with the B motor.
