Was this a re-issue? I believe the Victor "Bat-Wing" records came out about 1913-14.

A first pressing would be on a Patents label. Still, it's not an easy record to find regardless of label type.

Thank you, Jim, for responding to Harvey's question. This is indeed Al Jolson's first recording on Victor but on the slightly later Victor Batwing label. As mentioned by Jim, this recording was initially released on the Victor Patents label. Both the Patents label and the Batwing label contain virtually the same recording. The recordings on either label are indeed very difficult to find today as they sold pretty poorly. Jolson was very young at this time and his talents would not be recognized, appreciated and rewarded until later so his early Victor recordings like this are always nice to find.
