I visited the Morris Meseum today in Morristown NJ to see the collection of mechanical music machines of the late Murtogh D. Guinness. There was a demonstration today and they played several of the machines. I thought I would post some pictures for everyone to see especially those who may be planning a trip to the Wayne show in April. Please share your comments if you have already visited the Meseum.

It looks spectacular. Also adding to my "bucket list." MBSI's Northeast Chapter will be hosting our annual meeting in 2017 and maybe I will have a chance then, and maybe the Thomas Edison National Historical Park in West Orange as well.

Thank you for posting the video. What a great sounding Machine! I love the mechanical music machines, although a 15 ½" Regina music box is as far into that sort of thing that I can afford. Certainly no dissatisfaction with the Regina - I waited many years to be able to afford it and I love it!
I have several friends who own examples of those machines and It's always a pleasure when they play them for me.
My brother-in-law has been dealing in them for many years, so, I have seen and heard many of them up close over the years.
BTW: I think the correct title of the song in your video is "Indian Love Call", closely associated with Jeanette McDonald and Nelson Eddy.

Would you please post the museum's website if you know it? We will likely be close to the area sometime this year and want to see it.

Wow, that is not far from home for me, I did not know it was there, I will definitely check it out.

Another great meuseum full of working music machines is in Franklin PA ( not far off I80 in western PA: http://www.debencemusicworld.com/

They have few talking machines there, but their real collection is in music machines and they will play most of them while you are there. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
