Came across this on craigslist, can't tell quite what it is from the pictures. I see a Victrola logo on the underside of the lid, but that might be from the cabinet only. Anyone have any ideas what this is?

Can't tell too well from the pictures, but this looks like maybe a Capehart Orchestrope changer plopped into a Victor cabinet.

Weird. From the location, you’d think that the machine was in North Carolina, but the phone number is a San Diego area code, and it’s listed on the San Diego Craigslist...
...unless they’re storing this machine somewhere else.
I’ll refrain from guessing what this machine is; I really cannot tell.

Exactly. It's the case of a 7-30 Orthophonic radio-phonograph
http://www.victor-victrola.com/7-30.htm gutted out and a Capehart installed- and they had to cut a hole through the back for clearance for the tone arm and lifting mechanism. Would be an interesting item if it was operable.

In San Diego, NC stands for 'North County'.
